"After the Darkness"
3D Limited Edition Mixed-Media on Paper

Medium: 3D limited edition mixed-media on paper

Initially created for The Holocaust Memorial & Tolerance Center of Nassau County, “After the Darkness” is a compelling look at the life and the hope that arose from the ashes of the Holocaust. It evokes the gloom and suffering of the times, and yet blooms into a celebration of the resilience, the love, and the light that we hold onto as the legacy of such a dark period in history.  A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this edition benefit HMTC and other Holocaust museums and centers throughout the country.

“After the Darkness” was the centerpiece of a Fazzino museum exhibition titled “Heroes of the Holocaust, about which Fazzino said: “Tackling a subject of this magnitude and intensity was very difficult for me because of all the sadness associated with this horrific time period…But then I discovered all of these incredible people…everyday people who sacrificed their own lives and the lives of their family members to save others. Their stories are inspiring…This exhibit celebrates the ability of the people of our world to survive a horror like the Holocaust and in the end, become even stronger and more full of hope and love than they were before.”
